VEJA’s latest innovation is made from the softest leather sourced by VEJA – O.T. Leather (Organic Traced Leather), sourced from 100% certified organic farms in Uruguay. This type of leather undergoes a mechanical beating process that makes it thin and malleable. Tanned in Brazil, this leather uses fewer dyes than our conventional leather. VEJA obtains this leather from the Uruguayan savannah, a region known for the quality of its leather and livestock.

The suede is made from the underside of cowhide that has been previously brushed to make it softer and more flexible. It comes from farms in southern Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul). It is tanned in Brazil, respecting REACH regulations. Special attention is paid to the use of water during the tanning process. The suede is also coated with water-repellent oils without PFCs (chemical compounds) to protect the shoes from light rain.
