Ulla Johnson: a mix of global references
Born in Manhattan, designer Ulla Johnson honed her signature style on New York streets and wherever her parents were stationed in the world. Her parents, archaeologists by profession, instilled in Ulla a passion for ancient and exotic civilisations. It was in 1998, just after graduating from college, that the designer began her journey into the world of fashion and created the brand under her own name. Embroidery, exclusive prints and impeccable stitching have always been her hallmark.
Feminist and artisanal romanticism.
The New Yorker is part of a current of feminist designers who, through fashion, demand the empowerment of women. Thus, her collections include dresses and blouses with unique prints and dreamy tones, with a very feminine aesthetic.
